
Paramedic/Firefighter Hiring Notice – Application Period Ends March 1st!
The West County EMS and Fire Protection District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Paramedic/Firefighter.
Intentions:
The District is establishing a hiring list from which it will draw from over the next several months.
Position minimum qualifications:
- Twenty-one (21) years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid Missouri Paramedic license (no provisional licenses allowed)
- Certified Firefighter I & II through the St. Louis County Fire Academy
- Valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card*
- Current in ACLS, PALS/HandTevy, PHTLS/ITLS, CPR/BLS
*CPAT Testing is offered twice monthly through the St. Louis County Fire Academy. Please contact the Academy directly to schedule testing, if necessary.
Tentative Pre-Employment Testing Schedule to be determined
All qualified applicants will be required to complete the Wonderlic assessment** prior to in-person testing.
